Since 2006, the Future Security conference has been held by the Fraunhofer Group for Defense and Security every year. It came to be the most important national scientific conference regarding the security research with international participation.
Every year, a different institute of the group organizes the program. Thereby, new key subjects concerning the field of security research are set. In its 8th year, the conference will be held in the capital Berlin again in 2013.
The conference is held under the aegis of two ministries: Both the Federal Ministry for Education and Research as well as the Federal Ministry of Defence support the activities of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in the field of civil security research.
